Vehicle Care Tips for Your New Wrap

Wrapping your business fleet is a great way to advertise your products/services and build brand awareness. However, installing a vehicle wrap is only the first step to promoting your business to your target audience. To attract new prospects and keep your customers engaged and interested in your brand, you must regularly maintain your car wrap. Here are some vehicle care tips for your new wrap!

1. Regular maintenance for vehicle graphics

Always wash your car and car wrap at least once a week. If your vehicle is always on the move and gets dirty quickly, consider cleaning it more frequently to eliminate dirt and dust build-up. This can be done two or three times a week.
Avoid abrasive detergents and high-pressure car washes when washing your vehicle, as they can damage your wrap and cause fading. You’re better off hand washing your vehicle or using a low-pressure wash, preferably under 2000 psi.

2. Keep it protected

Protect your vehicle wrap from sun and heat damage by parking it in covered areas or keeping your vehicle in a garage. This protects it from harsh UV rays, snow, rain, and ice, which can cause wear and tear, shortening the lifespan of your wrap. Additionally, when driving, avoid rough or unpaved roads as rocks and pebbles can easily scratch the surface of your wrap, just like they would with a paint job, adversely impacting its overall appearance.

3. Stay on top of the damage

Watch out for any signs of damage on your vehicle wrap, including browning, stains, and spills. You can easily wash out stains and spills using a solution of warm water and detergent. However, for other types of damage, consult a professional to repair or replace the wrap.
